Hello! I’m LeAnn, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to ‘Dare 2 Vision,’ where the focus is on living a vision-driven life that empowers and inspires. My journey to becoming a life coach begins with my deep-rooted career as a registered nurse, spanning over 35 years. The seeds of my current passion were sown in 1997 when I attended the Women of Faith conferences. There, I felt a profound calling to inspire others, just as I had been moved by the speakers on stage.
Back then, the idea of becoming a motivational speaker was thrilling, but life, as it often does, took center stage, and I set aside my dream. I was passionate about nursing, but there was an inkling that there was more I was destined to accomplish. Years down the road, working with Jack Canfield’s personal coaching led me to distill a life purpose statement that resonated deeply. “My purpose is to use my compassion, love, kindness, and positive attitude to encourage and inspire others…to be a beacon of God’s light,” I wrote.
I was known for being the “calm in the chaos”—a compliment I cherished, reminding me that even in my nursing career, the essence of my calling was to uplift and support others. As retirement loomed and the space for personal reflection grew, I found myself invigorated to revive my dream.
Realizing this meant more than just dusting off an old dream; it meant equipping myself with the right tools. Enrolling in the Dreambuilder Life Coaching program became my catalyst for change. This isn’t just about imparting wisdom from my years of experience—it’s about constantly learning and growing, ensuring I can guide others in transforming their lives.
As I continue on this path to becoming a life coach, every day is a reminder that this journey is about aligning my life purpose with actionable steps to help others realize their potential. I invite you to join me on this exciting adventure with ‘Dare 2 Vision’. Together, let’s explore the next chapter of embracing possibilities—starting with discovering how compassionate care dovetails perfectly with transformational coaching.
LeAnn, this is such a heartfelt story. I can really feel your compassion and sense of purpose through your words. Nursing and life coaching share such a deep connection since both focus on healing, one the body and the other the heart. I am curious how you plan to bring your nursing experience into your coaching practice. Your gift for being the calm in the chaos will surely bless every client you serve.
John
John, I believe my nursing experience will lend itself to be very useful in many ways as I coach clients. I may be able to help direct clients who are searching for medical answers or may be able to help them navigate the healthcare system.

LeAnn
As a former lab scientist who worked in diagnostics for a little over 15 years, I know what it’s like to pour your heart into a career that serves others. When I transitioned into being a stay-at-home mom and eventually a full-time Christian blogger, I felt that same stirring you described, an inkling that God had more in store.
Your life purpose statement, “to be a beacon of God’s light,” resonates deeply. It’s beautiful how your nursing career and now your coaching journey both reflect that calling. Being known as the “calm in the chaos” is such a powerful affirmation of the peace you carry and the light you share.
I admire your courage to revive your dream and equip yourself through the Dreambuilder Life Coaching program. It’s inspiring to see how you’re blending compassionate care with transformational coaching. Your journey reminds me that our past experiences aren’t detours; they’re preparation for the next chapter God is writing.
Thank you for inviting us into your vision-driven life. I’m excited to follow along and see how God continues to use you to uplift and empower others. You’re truly a light in this space.

I really like how you’ve carried your compassion from nursing into life coaching—it seems like a natural extension of your gift for helping others.
Can you tell me what part of the Dreambuilder Life Coaching program has had the biggest personal impact on you so far? It really does sounds like a nice bridge between faith, purpose, and personal growth.
Thank you for the encouragement,
The DreamBuilder Life Coaching program has reinforced my belief that there is a greater power within us then most of us understand. The program is all about evocative coaching to tap into that higher power. I love it!
LeAnn
LeAnn, you hit a warm spot for me. I LOVE Nurses. I’ve had 15 surgeries, and when in the hospital, nobody treats you better than a Nurse. It seems you’ve just taken a natural fork in the road with your decision to become a Life Coach. You can still see the Nursing road from your new path, just beautiful. I know deep in my heart you will excel at this change in your pathway. I am happy for you and all the people you have and will come in contact with. Kudo’s to You
Thank you,
I am glad to hear your experience with nurses has been good! I love being a nurse! I agree the transition feels quite natural. I look forward to the future.
I really appreciate your encouragement,
LeAnn
Hi LeAnn, thanks for your interesting post on empowering people. With so much mental health around we need people like you who from a medical background and who can lead them in the right direction whether it be one on one or through a zoom chat or video call?
Do you quote things from the bible, or are you simply working with life experiences and is there an age bracket you focus on or anyone who needs help with life’s complexities?
I wish you well with your venture and may you help as many people as possible – we live in uncertain times where there is much coercion, so I hope you can find peace for those who are seeking refuge?
Regards Helen
Thank you Helen,
I am not limiting my clients based on age. The population I anticipate reaching will most likely be people who are nearing retirement like myself who have come to a crossroads in life that feels uncertain. While I do have a pretty good grasp on the overall concepts of the Bible, I am not qualified to be quoting the Bible. The training focuses more on the higher power and vibration of the universe and allows individuals to decide whether they want to call that higher power God or not.
I appreciate your inquiry,
LeAnn
LeAnn,
Your journey from bedside compassion to purpose-driven coaching reads like the natural evolution of someone who never stopped listening to the quiet call within. The line about being “the calm in the chaos” captures more than temperament — it’s the through-line of vocation that connects every stage of your life.
What stands out most is that you didn’t just revive a dream; you rebuilt it with wisdom. Too many people look back wishing they’d done more. You turned reflection into motion, which makes your message credible in a way theory never could.
The phrase “to be a beacon of God’s light” resonates beyond faith; it’s an image of steadiness that anyone navigating change can feel. Keep leaning into that; it’s the anchor that will make your coaching voice unmistakable.
Beautifully written, honest, and quietly empowering. Thank you for sharing not only your story, but your example of how calling matures into purpose.
JD
Thank you JD,
Your interpretation really resonates with the way I feel about my life journey so far. I appreciate your reflection and encouraging comments.
LeAnn
What an exciting journey, LeAnn, I really admire about how you carried your compassion from 35 year nursing career into your calling as a life coach. The phrase “calm in the chaos” really speaks volumes—what a powerful legacy to bring into transformational coaching.
I’m curious—how has your experience with DreamBuilder training shaped your approach to helping others define and pursue their own vision-driven lives?
Thank you Mohamed,
I love the DreamBuilder training in that I am not the one coming up with the answers to life, but through evocative coaching, I am helping each client to find their own answers within.
LeAnn
Hi LeAnn — I just read your story and felt genuinely inspired by how you’ve flowed from a 35-year nursing career into the world of life coaching. Your purpose statement—“to use my compassion, love, kindness, and positive attitude to encourage and inspire others… to be a beacon of God’s light” — resonated with me deeply. It’s beautiful how you combine your calm presence in chaos with actionable transformation. How do you see the compassionate care you offered as a nurse translating into your coaching sessions today?
Hello Hannah,
Thank you for your review. I believe that the compassion I have developed as a nurse and the many life stories I have encountered along the way will help me to have a better understanding of a variety of circumstances. I may not have walked in their shoes, but I may be able to relate from other experience.
LeAnn
Thank you for sharing your inspiring journey, LeAnn! Your story beautifully weaves together your nursing background with your calling to coach and inspire people. Your authenticity shines through in your writing.
I especially like the “calm in the chaos” descriptor you mention; it is powerful and memorable, and it creates a vivid image of your approach to life.
